Get to know EVAS

About Us

East Valley Adventist School was started in 1937 and moved to its present location in 1945 in Baldwin Park, California in 1945. East Valley Adventist School (EVAS) is currently a small, one teacher school. EVAS may be small, but we have a lot to offer. With the help of Differentiated Learning, students get to work at their own grade level and at a pace that is comfortable for them. This allows students to move up in the subjects in which they excel and get extra help in other subjects as needed. The students also get to take pleasure in an immersive learning experience. During a unit on habitats, students studied and collected data about which plants and animals live on campus. Then they took a trip to the LA Zoo at the end of the unit to see other animals that they learned about.

God has blessed EVAS greatly. In 2014 the school was fortunate enough to have a mission group visit from Northern California. With their help and the assistance of dedicated EVAS families and friends, the school was renovated to its current state. The students are now able to enjoy a new chapel and playground, as well as new carpets in the classrooms. A lot of campus repairs were also done during that time. Since EVAS has received so much, the students also give back to the community. Every month EVAS students pick a project to complete. Some of the most recent projects include singing at a convalescent home, showing appreciation to the local police department and local library, and collecting items for the homeless.
